JnU offers free mental health service


JnU Correspondent : Authorities of Jagannath University (JnU) Psychology department yesterday decided to provide mental health service without any cost to tackle Coronavirus outbreaks. JnU Psychology department Chairman Professor Dr Noor Mohammad confirmed the matter adding that the outbreak of COVID-19 are affecting negatively on our mind along with our physical health, Under the initiative anyone could take their service from mental health specialists.

To implement the initiative, the department unveiled a list consists of 16 teachers who are mental health specialists including three professors of the department. People are asked to receive the service through phone call or sending email to the teachers concerned. People could take the service from morning to night.

A advertisement notice went viral on social media platform in the regard detailing time schedules of specialists. Psychology department chairman Professor Dr Noor Mohammad said that people are in tension during the crisis, primarily we decided to to provide mental health service through phone call and email so that people don’t be panicked during the pandemic.

“We are ready for any kind cooperation in the regard”he added.
