CITF2020 begins on Thursday


Staff Correspondent:  The 28th Chattogram International Trade Fair(CITF)-2020 is being launched on Thursday (March 5) at the POLO Ground in Chattogram City. Chattogram Chamber of Commerce and Industry(ccci) is organizing month long this trade fair . The Chattogram Chamber authorities said that all preparations for the fair have already been completed.

The details of the fair were announced at a press conference at the World Trade Center Bangabandhu Conference Hall in Agrabad on Tuesday (March 3). Syed Jamal Ahmed, chairman of the Fair Committee, read the written statement at the press conference.

According to the written statement, the fair, which has more than four lakh square feet of space, now has 20 Premier Gold Pavilions, 33 Premier Stall, 115 Gold Stall, 28 Mega Stall, 8 Food Stall, Partner Country Thai Zone, and 4 separate zones. Is participating in Thailand is the partner of the fair.

The president of the chamberMr. Mahbubul Alam said that the Chattogram Chamber has been organizing the fair for 27 years to promote the industry and improve the quality of the country. This year, 5 lakh free tickets have been arranged for the students of  playgroups to class 7 from different schools of the city.

Ministers for Commerce Mr. Tipu Munshi MP will inaugurate the fair as the chief guest. Also, Deputy Minister of Education Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury Nowfel, Member of Parliament MA Latif, President of the Federation of Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Sheikh Fazle Fahim and Chittagong Metropolitan Police Commissioner Mahbubur Rahman will be present as a special guest inauguration ceremony.

Syed Jamal Ahmed director of the chamber and chairman of the fair committee, co-chairman AKM Akter Hossain, Zahirul Alam, Anjan Shekhar Das were present at the press conference.

The fair will run from 10 am to 10 pm daily. The price of entry fee to the fair has been fixed at Tk 15 per person.
