Opener Tamim Iqbal khan hit a magnificent 158 to post a huge total of 322 against Zimbabwe in second ODI of three-match series at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium on Tuesday.
It was Liton Das who scored the ton in the first game and today it’s been Tamim’s day. He came into this game under some pressure as there were some talks regarding his form. And he has answered it in a top fashion with a majestic 158.
Tamim slowed down a touch when he was approaching his hundred but as soon as he reached the landmark, he upped the ante in a sublime fashion. He was striking the ball really well that at one point, he was in with a chance of scoring a double ton but one mistimed shot ended an innings that will be remembered for a long time. He was well supported by Rahim (55) and Mahmudullah (41).
After Tamim’s departure, wickets kept tumbling but Mithun at one end kept his calm and finished off the innings well with a quickfire 32.
Bangladesh captain Mashrafe Bin Mortaza won the toss and opted to bat first against Zimbabwe.

Liton Das and Nazmul Hossain were run out after scoring 9 (14) and 6 (10) respectively.

Earlier, Bangladesh skipper Mashrafee bin Murtaza won the toss and elected to bat first.

The hosts brought up two changes to the side with fast bowler Shafiul Islam and Al-Amin Hossain replacing Mustafizur Rahman and Mohammad Saifuddin.
